Férfitúra - Guy Trip

A Kolumbusz-napi háromnapos hétvége utolsó estéjén a kövekező szállítmány állított be hozzánk este kilenckor:

-két darab másfél méter magas dagadtra tömött túrahátizsák
-egy sáros sátor
-négy pár lucskos-szurtos cipő
-két forró-csokoládé-maradványokkal beszáradt termosz
-egy zsák füstös-büdös mackónadrág, tréningfelső és sízokni
-és két lompos csavargóféle figura, akik állítólag az előző nap még ilyen snájdig erdőjárók voltak:

The following bundle arrived at our house at 9pm on the last evening of the three-day Columbus Day weekend:

-two mega-sized hiking backpacks
-one muddy tent
-four pairs of filthy, soggy shoes
-two thermal mugs with dried-in hot chocolate remnants
-a bagful of smelly-smokey pants and fleece jackets and ski socks
-and two hobo-type guys who, allegedly, had such a pleasing appearance just the day before:

So, the boys went on a three-day hiking/camping trip to Dolly Sods in West Virginia, along with Andras's buddies and their male offspring. This is the complete troop:

I'm certain it would be more fun to hear the story from the boys themselves (hopefully coming up soon), but let me just recap what they told me:

-It was awesome!
-West Virginia is well into the fall, with pretty red and yellow leaves everywhere.
-The Appalachian Mountains are gorgeous.
-But the nights get really chilly in October. And long, too.
-And there are thousands of gigantic puddles that form a swampy landscape.
-Our boys were tough hikers, regardless of the soggy boots.
-The view from Lion's Head Point easily makes up for the hike through the swamp.
-Good friends make good times.
